RmKV- Wedding Silks



RmKV stands for Rm.K.Viswanatha pillai.. RmKV mainly famous for Wedding silk sarees... Its dealing mainly in silks with kanchipuram... V.Kumaraswamy who lead the RmKV during the period of 1955 to 1988... His grandson K.Viswanathan is a Textile Technology graduate.. He finished his graduate on Indian Institute of Technology at Delhi,... Weaving centre in Arani has been established by K.Viswanathan and won the first ISO9001-2000 certificate for silk saree manufacture in the industry.. Under K.Viswanathan RmKV established a design team for the creation of original Hand-woven silk sarees.. The vision of RmKV is now led by K.Siva kumar..


K.Siva kumar and S.Rajendran won the National Award for Master Weavers and Master Craftpersons in the session 1998.. 86 years of silk heritage RmKV design 50,000 colours in a silk saree.. RmkV's traditional field of silk sarees get moved when they made 33 Bharathanatyam dance poses for Subramaniya Bharathi's most famous song "Chinnanchiru Kiliye".. After that RmKV has releases about more than three dozen designer sarees... And most recently RmkV has released lines of natural dyed and light silk sarees..
